It was designed by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/kevinforsyth.net\/ELMAC\/architects\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"166\">William P. Appleyard<\/a>, who submitted plans for the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/kevinforsyth.net\/ELMAC\/armory\/\">Armory<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/kevinforsyth.net\/ELMAC\/faculty-row\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"111\">Faculty Row<\/a>&nbsp;\u2116&nbsp;10 at that same time. On its first floor was an operating room where students received clinical instruction. The second floor held an anatomy lab, where in the cool weather at the end of each fall term, a deceased horse would be hoisted in a \u201cconvenient,\u201d if \u201crickety,\u201d elevator for the sake of student dissection. The Veterinary Laboratory is at far right. In the place of the 1872 horse barn and the 1862 cattle barn at the center of this photo,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/kevinforsyth.net\/ELMAC\/ag-hall\/\">Agriculture Hall<\/a>&nbsp;was built.<sup data-fn=\"67a64d0c-1b78-44a4-b553-580cf372d66d\" class=\"fn\"><a href=\"#67a64d0c-1b78-44a4-b553-580cf372d66d\" id=\"67a64d0c-1b78-44a4-b553-580cf372d66d-link\">3<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The Veterinary Lab continued to be used for anatomy studies even after the construction of a new&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/kevinforsyth.net\/ELMAC\/giltner-hall\/\">Veterinary Clinic<\/a>&nbsp;in 1915.
