The northeast quarter of this map, platted prior to 1926 as \u201cSupervisor\u2019s Plat of Ridgely Park #1,\u201d even in 1953 had yet to be incorporated.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">This subdivision was platted by the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/kevinforsyth.net\/ELMAC\/krentel\/\">Krentel Brothers<\/a>\u00a0on the western half of a forty-acre tract known at the time as the Valleau farm; it had previously been owned by Professor of Agriculture\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/kevinforsyth.net\/ELMAC\/manly-miles\/\">Manly Miles<\/a>. Located north of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/kevinforsyth.net\/ELMAC\/oakwood\/\">Oakwood<\/a>\u00a0and west of the future site of the original\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/kevinforsyth.net\/ELMAC\/high-school\/\">High School<\/a>, \u201cRidgely Park\u201d extended Sunset Lane and Forest Street and created the streets of Northlawn, Centerlawn, Southlawn, and Westlawn. It was annexed into the city on May 28, 1921.
