The land north and west of College Heights<\/a> and Oakwood<\/a> was platted circa 1915 into \u201cBungalow Knolls\u201d by Chace Newman<\/a>, Ward Giltner<\/a>, and Elam T. Hallman, Associate Professor of Animal Pathology. Bungalow Knolls was created from the remainder of the ten acres that Chace and Emma Newman had purchased to create College Heights in 1904; the Giltner\u2013Hallman Addition was a portion of Oakwood\u2019s Lot 84.†<\/a><\/sup> 1<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The plat’s Hickory Court connected to Oak Hill Avenue via a new right-of-way through College Heights’ lots 8 and 9. It extended north to Wildwood Drive, and its name was eventually changed to Hillcrest Avenue.\u00a0The largest undivided areas of the combined plat, labeled \u201cPortion Lot 84\u201d in the map above as a remnant of Oakwood, were later platted into the \u201cElm-Dale\u201d subdivision and Baldwin Court.2<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n
